RV Outlet Mall was founded in 1994 by Jim & Deborah. They were RV enthusiasts at the time, and were tired of traveling but wanted to share the joys of the road with others. After purchasing an RV for their personal use in 1992, a dealer invited the two to assist with an upcoming RV show. Jim & Deborah soon found that they liked the excitement of selling RVs, dealing with the public, and traveling in a "mobile condo" where all the comforts of home were provided.

After several shows the notion of starting their own dealership started to grow on them, and one day, they decided to try their hand in the wheeling and dealing of the RV business. It took a couple of years for them to find a suitable property and lineup manufacturers and soon they were in business.
